Anybody ever bought livestock on-line? Which ones would you recommend? How do the prices compare with the LFS? What condition are is the livestock in when it arrives?
Thanks,
Phil

we have bought off of www.petsolutions.com and the fish were great except for the 6 lined wrasse he died but they refunded our money no questions asked. all rest arrived in great active shape. it depends on what you are wanting to buy because you have shipping and handling charges to add. i think there shipping special is if you buy over 175.00 it is free but under that it is 39.99 .hope this helps.the live animal manager is craig chadwell he if you want a special order he'll try his best to find for you and he also gets back to you weather he could find it or not.

Next time we buy it will be online for the guarantee most online fish stores offer. Although you might want to make a post in the Canada Forum http://www.aquariumadvice.com/viewforum.php?f=39 if you can't access it you can sign up for that forum by sending a PM to the forum's moderator and then once in ask if anyone knows of good LFS in the area.

:D

Many of members have gotten livestock from www.liveaquaria.com THey offer the longest alive warrantee I have seen in 10 days.

You cant pick the livestock and to some people thats a big negitive. Often the price for the fish is much less than locally priced fish but the shipping costs can be high if you only get 1 fish.

For example a fish might cost $10 online and $30 locally. A $20 savings right? Wrong. Often the base shipping is $29.99 or more making your fish $40. Now if you purchased two fish the shipping usually does not go up so your per fish cost drops to $25 making it cheaper to buy locally.

The above is simply an example.
