oxygen

I have read and heard that it is important to have your water oxygenated. I was in the LFS and saw a RIO 600 with a venturi style hose, I bought it and put in the tank, wow way too many bubbles. So I disconnected the hose and have it as a PH for more water flow, not a wasted purchase.

My question is should I be concerned about oxygen content in tank? and are there tests to see what I have? I had a problem with micro-bubbles and know about that any ideas.

Gas exchange takes place at the surface of the water. If there is sufficient turbulence at the surface of the water and good flow in the tank, your tank should be well oxygenated

Agreed with reefrunner surface tension is the best way for oxygenating your water for your tank mates. Surface tension will also increase the penetration of lighting! HTH

So could you tell a little about the tank, how many poowerheads and such do you have?
