man, last night these things scared the @%#$ out of me. i turned on the flshlight and there they were. i sware i nearly craped myself. i look in the tank quite often and never see anything.
there are about 5 or 6 that i noticed last night and they are all have a 2 1/2 to 3 inch probasis. i looked around alot last night on the web and came to that conclusion anyway.
have any of you ever seen them or had any? i noticed that on of them seemed to be messing with a small, newly formed, shroom that was nearby.
mostly just wondering if they are harmful and to share. there is no way i could get them out of the rock without totaly busting it up and it hapens to be in a larg rock with a ton of coraline on the other side.

I read up on them a while back. They are harmless rock borers and scavengers. They should help keep your tank debris free.
