PH on the rise

I have had my reef tank for 2 months and everything was perfect. Then 4 days ago the ph spiked so I did water changes and got it back down, cleaned the filter, test my all the new water and stuff. And now it's back up to 8.6 when it's usually a 8.1. All I add is iodine and koral color, very small doses. Does any one have any ideas what might be causing it?

how is the water in your area, the water treatments might not always bee the same, thats one reason i use 5 gallon jugs of distilled water the PH and all levels are usually the same. i've never had a spike in PH its always been a steady 8.3
