PH Probs..........

I done my usual water testing this morning and my PH has gone through the roof!!! I added a Calc Reactor on Thurs with the effluent at 7.8.... I am not running a PH computer at this time this will be my next hard ware addition. My KH is at 12 which is a little high for a reef system, will monitor that and reduce somehow? At present I have fish, live rock and some nems in and all doing fine......I added the reactor to bring Ca up as it was VV low....

Does anyone think this is related to the reactor as I was expecting any movement on PH to be down...... or an idea why the PH has risen.......?
