i like the aqua scaping you did is that the cured rock you got? i see alot of coralline on some of then that tells me its aged thats probably why you didnt experience much of a cycle possibly

thats what i was thinking, either way its a very nice setup, lots of caves and sleves for fish to hide and for corals to sit

Nice setup. How many gallons is that? what are your plans?

Have you been to Aquarium World off of 290? I know it's a drive for you but so worth it. 3000 gallon tank, 3 rows of saltwater selection(at good prices:check the deal of the week) and pretty helpful staff.

Next to AA they have been the most help in my adventure into SW.

Rock looks good! Any reason the tank isn't filled up? lol

i also agree with the above, you may have cycled without even seeing it with all that live rock. I think a couple more pieces would look awesome though, just my opinion. :-D

So what do you have in mind for fish or corals?

I have had my life rock in place for two weeks now and I am not seeing a cycle. The diatom took over the tank for several days but has now died off. Based on your comment here, I am wondering if the same holds true in my case. Could it be that all the purples and other colors on my LR is coralline and therefore I may not see an ammonia spike?

are you seeing any nitrates at all? or is everything still 0

No nitrites or nitrates at all. Ammonia has stayed at .25 for several days but has neither climbed or diminished.
