Aquarium Advice Freak
So my son has a 10 gal FOWLR that has 2 clowns and has been running for 14 months.. He has been quite happy with it.
Now my Daughter wants one, so She and I decided to do a 50 gal in the family room..
Tanks size: 30Lx18Wx21D
the Plan is to use my Canister (Fluval 405) along with a BH1000 Reef Octopus
I will need to get Sand and Rock and water once i empty it (currently FW)
I had gone to Aquarium Adventures (more of a BBS) and was discouraged at the $800+ cost to start a tank being I was told I could not use my Canister etc
Fast Forward to yesterday I went to an actual LFS (Beyond the reef) the Young guy there told me what his first set-up was and that he did basically what I am looking to do.. I think to start with on a budget it will be a fun project to get up and running.. I am looking forward to having a tank that I can enjoy again
