I would like to add a crab to my tank. I have a 50 gallon cube aquarium up and running for a year now. I have
2 clownfish that don't host in My bta.
4 chromis
1 6 line wrass
1 yellow head goby
3 hermit
1 cleaner shrimp
1 rose bta.
I was wondering which crab would you think I should get. Maybe both??

IMHO I wouldn't add either. After you put it in you really aren't going to see except maybe once in a blue moon. They're better suited to smaller tanks where you get to see them more often :(

I have two porcelain crabs I see frequently. They're shy until there's some food circulating, then they're fun to watch.

I've had both in my 55 reef. I rarely ever saw them. Was really a treat when I did, but it was pretty infrequent. Both are really cool crabs, just really small and more suited for a nano tank for daily enjoyment.

I have 2 pom pom crabs in my 5.5 g, I see them at night from time to time. Even in a small tank a rarely see them. Although I doubt you would get the same species as mine. I keep the Hawaiian pom pom crabs, I am not sure how different they are in terms of behaviour but they look kind of different, more pink I suppose?

EDIT: I am comparing the Hawaiians vs Indo-Pacific

Notice how the pom pom crab here isn't red an has the usual pattern? It seems like that the color of the pom pom crab in Hawaii is much different. Also it lost on of its anemone...

Well I did buy him a couple weeks ago, I saw him for a couple hours that night. I haven't seen him since.
