Seeing as we ended up with an established 55g aquarium, we just brought it home and set it back up pretty much the same way it was. But now I'm wondering if the placement of the PHs is correct. We have no skimmer at this time, 2 ex70 filters and have 1 Black Onyx Clown, 1 BV Damsel and one piece of sad coral that is coming back slowly.

What are your opinions on PH placement?

Every tank is different in terms of flow and needs through the tank. It should usually be pointed up to ensure there is agitation at the surface to help with oxygenation, but you want a random flow through the tank when there are coral. What that means is basically having powerheads flow hitting one another to get a random break through it.
