I am thinking about starting a saltwater aquarium and just wondering if pouring saltwater down the sink, during water changes, can do harm to the pipes? (ie rust them) I am guessing most people do pour their water down the sink so this is probably a dumb question lol.
Thanks :)

10 years...

Been doing it for 10 years in the same sink and I've yet to have any problem. If you plan on moving anytime soon, don't worry about it!

if you flush the drain with fw, your plumbing is fine...same principle where marine engines are freshwater flushed after running

10 and over club?

Oooo... I get that for an addiction of over 10 years? Oct 30, 1993 is the first record in my maintenance log. It says I added a yellow tail damsel...which is still in there today.

Hey...anyone have a fish OLDER than that?

My aunt had a 15 year old plecostomus. I have a 13 year old Chinese firebelly newt, but I guess that's not a fish. :)
