Purple flower

Hey everyone,

I have these mini purple looking flowers on my rock. I thought at first doesnít look like it could hurt. Itís slowing spreading all over my rock. Does anyone know what it is and how to get ride of it? Click image for larger version

Can you take a picture without the blues? Can't see anything really. Does it happen to look like majano? If that's the case, lots of aiptasia-x or joes juice to attack them.

Theyíre blue clove polyps a very fast growing soft coral.

They just grow really fast and can take up valuable space that you would use for other corals. I had them forever ago and just kinda let my more aggressive corals keep them in check until they had no more areas to grow

I'm not sure how one would get rid of them outside of manual removal. They'd be a nice sandbed coral IMO.

If I remove the rock from the tank and place it in fresh water. How long would it take for it to die off?

Uh, no clue? A good long while. I've watched coral show back up after long periods of being out of water. Trade it off to someone or put it in the sandbed.
