Research what kind of urchin you have and compare photographs with that of the ACCURATE online research engines. Most cases, urchins will naturally STRIP DOWN all that beautiful algae and it'll take several more months for you to build it back up IF you don't have the urchin anymore. That's some of the throwbacks of having a saltwater tank. You want certain cool things, but sometimes those cool things will clash with others and it's not a very nice mix.
