Real Ocean Brand Water Yeah or Nah

Has anyone ever used this. I was thinking of trying it for a water change but have heard its not consistent. Is this true? Has anyone ever checked water before use? It would be less fuss than mixing salt etc. I am now using Red Sea, any prefences? Still trying to get algae and now cyano under control. Does salt mix have Phosphates? Thanks[/b]

I never used it.

I've been using Instant Ocean since I started(I tried a couple others briefly). I like it, but the Ca is a bit on the low side. I've heard Tropic Marin is a good, balanced salt mix. I personally don't like Red Sea salt mix.

Yes, some less desirable salt mixes contain PO4. Test your source water and a fresh batch of salt water to find out the source of the phosphate.
