I want to set up a tank to have corals and crabs? Is this a bad idea? If not, I would appreciate so advice on which crab species to choose. I've also been looking at Calico crabs, does anyone have advice on them?

Thanks

It isn't a bad idea, you simply need to ensure you pick the right crabs and that they are fed as crabs are opportunistic creatures and could go from eating algae or shrimp to coral.
Personally I think a small nano tank with Pom Pom crabs would be great.

Porcelain crabs, which aren't actually crabs, are reef safe. Cool looking too.

I love the look of the Pom Pom crab. I actually looked at these for my nano. My vote is on this or the scarlet hermit.
