RO system waste water

My RO system is hooked up to an auto top off in my sump. The float is good and it's not letting water into my tank because it's still full. But the RO system is still producing waste water even though I'm not using any RO water. Is this normal?

Send a message via MSN to mr_X
What you need is a shut off on the feed line. Otherwise you are going to be paying a thousand a month for water!

This is usually done by a 4-connector pressure valve, that sense the pressure in the output line and as it builds, turns off the input. Most RODI systems include one.
