So I got this piece of rock out of my goldfish tank that has been up and running for 10 years and was wondering whether I could add it to my new salt water tank.

It looks like a nice large piece of rock. Must have been a big goldfish tank.
In terms of it being OK in a saltwater setup, as long as no medications were used in the tank previously it should be just fine as it doesn't appear to be a lava rock. Those can have heavy metals in them that can leach into the water column.
