i just got 2 rts from a friend and one has some white on it and is layin around on its side at the bottom pretty sure its going to die....what should i do?

what kind of white do you mean? white spots along side the fish or a white type of fungus on or around the fish? and if it's laying on its side that can be it's swim blatter, go to your local pet store they should have all kinds of different treatments, there is one called multi-cure i used it previously to help with white spot and swim blatter.

You need to find out what the problem is. If you just got them, how long has it been exactly, and how were they in your friend's tank? What is a RTS anyway?
