I was going to head over to the lfs and pick up some more members of my clean-up crew. I saw a sally lightfoot crab there for like 10bucks and I don' t know much about them really. Does anyone have any comments? are they a good algae muncher or an aquarium pest?? Any other commen algae eaters other than a snail I should consider??

I like a fighting conch as a sand sifter. My pincushion urchin mows through hair algae (and coraline) when I have it, but it is a great cleaner. I had a sally loght foot and it was pretty neat, but I (think) I have read they could cause problems, when bigger by possibly attacking small fish and other small inverts....

I`ve had two Sallylightfoot crabs and they were excellent janitors. Did not mess with the reef either.
