Salt mixing

Should I leave the circulating pump on in the salt mix barrel until I use it or just a couple hours until its mixed ? I also have a air stone going as well.

Until you use it. Thats what I do.

I wonder is there a self life? I 'm starting my new tank and ran slap out of week end time. Start the day @ five & end it @ six or seven. Last thing my schedule affords is setting up a tank on Monday night.

I have left water in the garbage cans for weeks at a time. I keep mine heated to tempo and circulating. No loss of elements and it tests the same as it does the day I made it.
