Salt question

I have a bag of IO that has been sitting around while I finished the previous one. When I opened the new bag, I noticed that some of the salt had caked into large blocks. Upon closer inspection, I found a small slit in the bag where the moisture seeped in.

My question is this: is the salt still good, or do I have to through it out? I would hate to toss a brand new bag of salt.

You need to throw it out. It changes when it gets moisture in it. I can't remember what it's called though.

I can't say for sure but mine gets chunky and I just break it up. It still dissolves well so I use it and it has never been a problem.

Hmm. Now I'm confused. One vote toss the bag, one vote it's okay. Can one of the advisors weigh in???
