I believe I've figured out the issue with my acans. There is algae on the tips of some of the skeleton. Any hints or tricks on this one?
Minor tank maintenance before work. Removed algae growth from the sump and fed. Clean the glass, so on. The betta comes out every other feeding it seems. Odd creature, wish he would show up more so I knew he was alive.
I also fragged my purple nana. I was concerned that it might have been suffering from RTN. Just couldn't decide if there was recession or if that was just prior damage that hadn't healed. Either way, executive decision was made. Capped the fresh cuts with some glue and it is business as usual.

Just order the pods and not the starfish. Save your money for a bigger tank!

Did it work?

I agree- don't do it!! They're beautiful, but the linkias die more often than not. Just get more pods in their place.

I continued the cleaning of my powerheads today. I noticed the aiptasia has returned to my one powerhead, stuff just won't die. So, I sadly tore the coraline that grows on that powerhead off and tossed the ph into the vinegar bath. Now I know this won't kill it. My hopes is that it knocked it out of where it was hiding or enough stuff to show me exactly where it is hiding to nuke it for good.
Oh, and didn't order the starfish or the pods.

I have effectively taken care of aiptasia with vinegar by just sneaking up on it and squirting it with a medicine dropper... As it retracts I follow it into the rock and keep squirting. I have not had any return to my tank yet. I also had success burning one piece off.

You should be extremely careful putting vinegar in your tank, it can cause your PH to crash.

Yeah, I'm basically rinsing my power heads afterwards. I have aiptasia x that I've nuked it with before.

I use 2ml at a time, with lights off and it has no effect on PH in my experience.

I had a peppermint that had little interest in it, sadly. I don't work very hard with the aiptasia, it shows up once every other month at best after I nuke it. If it shows up when I get home from work ill give it a dose, but this has been difficult due to work schedule. Hence why I didn't nuke it before today's shift.

Well, did some maintenance today. Cut back some of the bone grass, it just gets coated with hair algae. Moved the zoas so I would have room for the 20 dollar deal from LA today...still haven't hit order yet but red/green war corals just make me drool. I love brains. Either way, I want rid of my zoas and mushrooms unless I get a larger tank.

So, did some fiddling with the Canon during the parts of Wrestlemania no one wants to watch. Custom white balance, but not exactly sure how to set it. I also moved 2 pumps around, the one wouldn't adjust and was blowing directly onto my acros. Moved it to the front with a korallia moved back and cleaned off the acros.

Beautiful pictures! What's the coral in the picture just before the feather duster?

Yeah, my rag was soaked by the time I was done fixing the the powerheads...I'll fix it tomorrow when it is dry again.
I was going to have him make me the new tank, but then I bought a new car so have been holding off. That and I'm meeting with my financial adviser tomorrow to put more money into my IRA.
Bear, that is a green polyp'd mushroom leather.

Looks good. We are watching wrestle mania as well.

What car did you get? And about your IRA, don't be afraid to go rate shopping. A decent bank can match rates

That's pretty decent. Market is getting better. Depending on your age high/high may be a good option for you too.

PS I love my Ford too!

21 & 0!

Sorry to get off topic.
