Are pantyhose as effective as filtersock for microbubbles? im going thru filtersock every 2-3 days because the water starts overflowing the top of the sock im only using it for microbubbles not detrius and such so im wondering if i should switch

The filtersocks trap the dirt to which im not concerned with cause i have an oversized skimmer that dont get to do much work since adding the sock think ill try the pantyhose for bubbles and put my skimmer back to work lol

They work great for me. I'm a big supporter of it and wish it was my idea. Under my tank is filled with little plastic eggs full of panty hose. It is a great filter as well, as previously stated. Just remember that it is more of a fine filter than a filter sock, at least what I'd been using.
