Start water ro/di or just tap

When first filling tank is it nessary to use ro/di water?

Best to use it from the beginning if possible. If not, you can slowly just phase your tap water out over time with ro/di water and water changes. It's up to you, really.

Thanks for the info.I just purchased a unit today on Ebay.Its a 75gpd. It will service my 150 for pwc and evaporation.Looking for a good quality auto top off,any suggestions?Thanks agian.
