Starting the cycle process

When I initially set up my tank, (75g) how much live rock should I put in my tank?? Also, should I expect the live rock to die?

Welcome to AA. I also got 70lbs BR and 50lbs LR in my 75gal tank. Do expect some die off if you order your LR from online sites.

I ordered from LR.com and had very little die off. Not enough to create even the smallest ammo spike. The end recommendation is 1.5-2#/g. I started my 120 with 80# of base when I setup my tank and added 60# of LR about 3w into the cycle. I wouldn't count on LR.com rock for cycling purposes because it probably won't but you could put a raw shrimp in there to start the cycle process.
