Hi all,
Just wanted to know thoughts on this. Having a bit of a problem with surface scum (not major) and was thinking of getting a surface skimmer attachment similar to this one: http://www.aquaticeco.com/index.cfm/fuseaction/product.detail/iid/13892/cid/3869
connected to my powerhead which I use for water flow. I am hoping that the DOC on the surface will be mixed in with the rest of the water and then taken care of by my protein skimmer.
The other option would be to connect it to the intake pipe of the external canister filter, which only has active carbon and a phosphate remover in it. ie no filter pads or floss, or bio filtration.
Which would be the best option?
Thanks
Brett
