Tank size??

I'm thinking about starting a salt water tank, ive had a fresh water for a long time. So im just wondering what size tank i would need??

Well if you want to keep any larger fish like tangs, triggers, etc. you will want a 6 ft tank. If not then a 40 breeder is a good sized tank to start with

40gal? I have a 55gal would that be to small? I only want small fish nothing to big

A 55 will work fine. I'm assuming you just want a fowlr right?

I like the idea about the 55 gallon. Plenty of water for a starter tank.

That = fowlr. For a reef I honestly think a 40 breeder has a better footprint. The fact that there shallow and deep makes them easier to light and aquascape than a standard 55. Just my $.02

I agree about the 40 breeder but if they already have the 55 may as well use that
