temporary refugium alternative question

Ok, so I can't afford to do the refugium right now and don't have the time or knowledge for constructing a sump. I have a 46g tank 50 pounds live rock. 30 pounds natures ocean sugar fine sand. I am planning to keep 1 of my whisper30-60 power filters for a temporary refugium. I put about 1/2 a cup of sand in the bottom added a little chaeto and chalupra and buried it with live rock rubble. I need lighting for it but don't have any ideas Can I just hang any old lamp over the top of it?? how much light does it really need to help grow copeods and help the chaeto grow??

You can use almost any light for the fuge. A grow light from HomeDepot/Lowes would be great.

I have a Flourescent Flood light from Menards and they work great. It looks like the regular yard spot lights, but they are flourescent and dont get hot. My calupera took off with that light.
