Tips for Peguin HOB

So im gonna have to use a Penguin 300 HOB Filter, untill I get enough money to slow piece my sump togeather.

Anyone got some good Tips to make this better for a 55g reef for a few months. Anything would help.

The tank in turn will be set up with roughly a 2 1/2 Inch sand bed, and looking around 40-50 pounds of live rock, maybe more. Im Really hoping to have the sump up and running before I get to adding corals!

I have the 300 and a 150 on my 29 and it works great.

If you haven't already gotten the filter I would just get a decent hang on skimmer. I have both and like the skimmer way more and its old.
