Can i put a peppermint shrimp in my ten gallon yet? it has been running for 5 days??

It is a bit soon for that unless your at the end of your cycle. Shrimp are very sensitive and shouldn't be exposed to your tank in flux. I would wait until your nearing the end of your cycle before adding them. I added mine about 5w into my cycle after my ammo & trite fell back down (we've never had much trAte to speak of). They did manage to survive a pretty nasty feeding accident that had my ammo spiking off the charts, but I sure wouldn't have done that on purpose!

I agree. Hold off on ANY livestock until your tank is completely cycled. As mentiioned, inverts are fairly sensative animals and would not make it though your cycle.

a peppermint was one of the first additions AFTER my tank cycled. She is doing great though.
