I've been trying to get it taken care of. Started running chemipure, lowered light cycle and have been removing it.

Guess I'm going to start doin an extra 10g wc every week. Took my rock out in a tub of tank water and scrubbed it good. Going to lower my light cycle to 5 hours. Hopefully I can get an rodi unit soon.

I feel your pain on the hair algae. My rocks came covered, a good 70%ish.

Tank is looking better since I scrubbed the rock. Started running phosguard in my ac70 also. Here's some new arrivals.

The nem was probably a bad idea, they don't do well in young tanks. IMHO you'd be best off returning that

It was a freebee. Figured I'd try it a for a bit. There have been 3 closed up in the lfs tank for a month. I may be wrong in doing so but, I feel maybe it's better off. All there sw animals sit in water that is off the charts salinity wise with regular Wal-Mart hood lights. I almost died when I saw 1 green and 1 ruby mandarins starving in their tanks mixed in with aggressive fish.

If the nemmy starts doing bad I will take it a friend's mature tank and let him have it.

Thanks for the advise though. I do listen to you guys. I really want this tank to succeed so I can hopefully upgrade to a 40b and use this 29 as a sump

Thanks. I didn't really want it because it's taken over his tank and is really white under his lights. I love the green tint it has in my tank though I'll have to read up on controlling its growth.

Got some new goodies. Torch, red people eaters and a couple purple hornet polyps. Get pics when it all opens.
