The frags look good! Nothing turns into a colony overnight, give it time and it will look amazing :).

Thanks. The girlfriend tried to get me to buy bigger or more of. I just wanted small frags to watch grow. Lucked out on the torch though. It was closed tight when I had the head fragged. He sold it as one but, there's actually 3 mouths.

Seems OK ATM. It moves a lot though. Stays in the same general area. I have changed flow around a couple of times though. I can't seem to get it where I feel its enough to keep things from settling under my bridges. I may try to just do 2 islands and 1 bridge.

I feel you about the flow. I'm in the process of going bare bottom so I can increase flow.

I've thought about taking the sand out of mine also. I can't get it clean from everything that fell off the liverock over the last few months. I'm afraid to crack the bottom without it though.

yeah, idk I've seen a lot of pros and cons to bare bottom and have decided I will. I've been doing it over months tho and still have lots of sand

I'll probably deal with it until I get my upgrade. If I use sand then it will def. be larger than bimini pink I used this time

Ugh my rock just had a fall. Kids romping. Squished my candy cane and large hairy mushroom. I've heard they can poison a tank if damaged. Should I take it out?

how badly damaged? shrooms Id assume will be fine and candy cane could be depending

Mushroom had a good tear. Candy cane just one head got a little busted. Its still open. Mushroom don't look good.

they'll be fine. mushrooms are hardy and when propagated are usually just cut up. just leave him and he'll regrow

Wish I could get some better stuff. Rasta, nightmare zoos. Some of the nicer chalice and such. Closest place I have to me is 2 hours away and really only carries common stuff.

Ordering online really isn't that bad. Just make a big order so shipping is worthwhile. Or try to get enough for free shipping. Those blue hornets you got are nice :)

Ebay is your friend. A good deal can find its way to you there. Some 10 dollar zoas with 30 shipping on a rare coral...40 bucks for 7 polyps of the zoas I just got would have been at least 100 if I ordered off a site. Then there are others that offer nice free shipping packs or offers.
