Can you poke it with something to see what texture it has?

Touched it with the end of my net and it just comes apart. There's a few small patches then one rather large patch on the bottom of a piece have bridged.

Yea could just be fungus decomposing something that has been killed by the ammonia.

Well ammonia is at point 25. Nitrites and nitrates are still high but, they are dropping.

My trites and trates are still high. They haven't changed in a couple days. Should I do a pwc or just keep waiting. Ammonia is almost gone.

I would wait for ammonia to completely disappear. Then dose ammonia up 1 more time and make sure its gone in 24/7. If so do a big waterchange and add fish!

I received my lights and powerheads today. Got some snails too but, they've been in there all day and haven't came out of this wad.

The red legged crabs I put in today are running around loving the new home. The Margarita snails not so much. I'm pretty sure they'll be dead in the morning.

ive heard margaritas are temperant and dont do well in home reef conditions. Most die or don't thrive. A different snail choice next time would be good. How did you acclimate.

He's right, they don't live very long at reef temperatures.

They where all I could get. My local LFS doesn't have a very much. I can't even by coral. So I'm going to be stuck either ordering online and taking a chance or driving 2 hours.

Reefcleaners is great for cuc, but order the crew for about half your tank size because john doesn't have the best counting skills

Fish seem happy today. Both have had some frozen brine and ate really well.
