I was looking at one made by TMC (uk) for around £65 ($105) it is recommended for tanks up to 300 litres mines a 260 litre which is good

I have one that's built into my canister. When I first got it, it cleared up a bacterial bloom within hours. So I thought 'wow, this thing is awesome!' and left it on all the time. Then about a month ago I went to clean my filter and found water in the light tube. It's been off ever since and I haven't seen any change in my tank at all.
