Water change.

Hey guys. I need to do a water change to my 45gal tank. I was told to change 25% of it. Is that correct? Also does anyone have any tips on changing water? Thanks.

it depends. it's not a bad idea to do that much, but some do 10%, some more, some less. it's all about how much nutrients you are adding to the tank. if you are feeding heavily, you'll want to do larger, more frequent water changes. what livestock do you have in the tank right now and how are you feeding/

I have a scooter, butterfly angel, 2 clown fish and 2 cardinals. Also a live rock. I feed them daily. They either get frozen brine shrimp or a mixed blend on other frozen fish.
