Water change

Hi all,I currently do a 20% water change every 2 weeks but am thinking of doing 10% every week,I get a 25 ltr drum so would the other half of saltwater last for the 2nd 10% change or is it best to use it fresh.

I keep water for sometimes a couple of weeks, I always assumed it was ok. Hope so! Been doing it for years...

Ok thanks,been reading its better to do smaller changes rather than a big one.

Not sure it's better, each to their own I reckon. Smaller ones are easier I suppose. I do about 15% a week, one of those drums on my 4ft (200L)

Mines 180ltr and I do a 25ltr change every 2 weeks,only had marine for 5 weeks so still learning and finding out stuff.

Good question. If I keep it longer than two days I always shake the tube so it's getting mixed up. I used have 125 ltr and do about 20 ltr aweek but now got 300ltr and do 50 ltr every two weeks at min as busy but everything test good

Toss a power head in the drum for a hour or two before use this will mix and stabilize things like PH Or like Bray said shake the daylights out of it
