20g long sump
300w heater
200gph HOB overflow
(2x) 425 gph powerheads on one side connected to wavemaker (1 min. per)
(1x) 800 gph powerhead on other side
Seaclone 100 protein skimmer
Two Fishies Phosban Reactor with GFO
Media bag with carbon where overflow enters sump
Rio 1400 Return pump
165w 55 Full Spectrum Led

Stock List:
1x Black Clownfish
1x Purple Firefish
1x Sixline Wrasse
1x Galaxea Coral
1x Mushroom Ricordea


So now that you know what I have, what else do I need to have a successful reef? I don't have alot of money but I'd like to have some Frogspawn/Hammer Corals and I want them to prosper. I also want a Mandarin Dragonet longterm.

I have some people in the area that I live in that say I need to dose calcium/alk or get a calcium reactor to help with the reef....is that true?

No, you don't need to dose if your using a reef grade salt until you have a large stony coral bio load.
