Which is better, VHO or PC??

I have been looking between the 2 and it seems you can get more watts from a VHO bulb then PC? plus they seem to be a cheaper set up then PCs.
Does the bulbs not last near as long?
Can someone tell me what is the PROs and CONs between the 2.
I will be running 4 NOs to start but will upgrade soon.
