I bought some new Zoa's about 3 days ago who's tentacles were green but now they are brown. Only some of them are brown. Do they need to be moved closer to the light? I moved them higher and ill see what happens. I have two t5 lights one 10k and one 6500kto should I upgrade the 6500k?

Hey Ben, I think lower kelvin rated bulbs tend to grow more algea, as like a 5600 or around there is a plant light grow bulb. You'll probably have better luck with like a 12,000k.

If I had a choice on bulbs for a 2 bulb fixture I would get a 12k or 14k bulb for the white and an actinic blue for the other. The 6500k is good for a planted tank but not a sw tank. :)

I'm limited to what zoo Med makes in the 22in. 6500k,10k or an actinic. What should I get another 10k or an actinic.

Here is the one they sell is it OK? Will it produce enough light for the Zoa's in my 30 gal along with the 10k? Thanks for all the help.
