10 gallon stocking ideas

So I have a friend who wants to get a betta and some neon tetras or an angelfish. She's concerned that a ten gallon would be too small for an angelfish and wants some options. What do you think? Any stocking ideas? She is not sold on either fish, but only has room for a ten gallon. She's fine and knows that angels need at least a 20 but she wants some suggestions.

10 gallons is way too small for an angelfish. Neons are a good choice.
