13 Gallon Widescreen tank start up

As some of you have helped me with in a previous thread I will be taking my spare 13G widescreen back to college with me.

The process to finally begin planning my tank has begun.

Stocking:

- ~7 Galaxy Rasbora
- 2 peacock gudgeon
-1 Gourami ( I'm leaning towards paradise)

I also want to add live plants to this aquarium but I have yet to decide which ones to add because I have never done live plants before

My thoughts:

Java moss (and maybe fern)??
Maybe dwarf hairgrass??
Amazon sword??

I really don't know. The tank is very well lit with LED lights but I don't want high maintenance plants to start.

I will also be adding rocks and wood as my hardscape.

My substrate will be sand, currently deciding between black or white.
