14g stocking q

I currently have 6 platies in a 14g biocube. My daughter would like to get some neon tetras but IIRC those need a group of 5-6. I'm concerned it may be too much for my tank, what do you guys think?

I'd also like to add some ghost shrimp - would those be able to go in my tank safely as well?

You have too many fish IMO. I would remove 2-3 platies and then add a school of ember tetras instead of neons as neons need larger tanks
