37 gallon prep and stock?

hi everyone i have a 10gal already going with 6neon tetras 2 glofish and a lonely cory, but im starting a 37 gallon, still setting up so im in no hurry. my queston is, is 37 gallons enough for cicilds its ok if its not, i just wanted a good oppinion, "the fish store thinks everything is a good idea when ur spending money", also what kind if they are suitable? Or what are some of you running in your tanks of simmilar size any answers are helpfull.
