37 gallon tank

So I'm ready to stock my new tank and I have no clue what I want. I don't know if I want a semi aggressive tank or non aggressive community. I want color and variety.

Can you combine some semi aggressive fish with nonaggressive?

NEED HELP AND SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!

Here is what I try to do: I plan for either an Amazon-type tank, Southeast Asia tank, livebearer tank, African tank, Goldfish tank, etc. I do the very best that I can to match fish and plants from the same region so the water temp, pH, and everything else will be as close as I can get it. As far as aggressive with non aggressive: in my experience, aggressive tend to pick on the non aggressive. Good luck
