Hi! So I recently got a 40 gallon tank and I am torn with what to put in it. The more I research the more difficult it is to decide. I like the community tanks because there is a lot of variety, and I like the cichlids and angelfish because of there uniqueness. But I want a best of both worlds situations. Any advice is welcomed:)

It's a 40b. And Im slightly intimidated with the chichlids because apparently they are aggressive and I need to have things planted just right to make it peaceful? Although I love the colors they come in!

African cichlids will eat the plants. They do best with rock and wood landscaping. Angels get pretty tall for a 40B. Ram cichlids might be your best option. They stay small and get along with most fish, unless they're breeding. Then they get territorial.
