About eggs

I have salvinis and convict that had eggs and they both ate them can some one tell me why that is the first time they laid eggs I read that some time they eat there first I s this true and how often do they both lay eggs or will they lay again

Both fish sound as though they are young, give them sometime they are both great parents. The convicts youll see fry every 3-4 weeks, the sajicas every 10-12 weeks. What size tank are they in? They can be very aggressive when guarding fry.

They are in a 72 bowfront. I am going to pit them in a 125 that I am getting next week

The Convick and salvini are my favorite fish I have two pairs of zebra convicts and two pairs of pink Convick . The four pinks are in a 55 and the four zebras are in the bow front with two salvini
