Aggressive toward newcomers

I just added a male and 2 female blue plattys to my 60 gallon tank yesterday , and my honey gourami is beating up on them whenever they come out of hiding. Is there any chance he'll chill out towards the newbies, or do I need to remove him? Thanks.
