Hi yesterday I purchased a male and a female bristlenose pleco both about 5cm long. This morning I noticed that all day the male would stay in this cave that he dug out under some driftwood what could he be doing there. The female go around the tank doing what she normally does it's just the male that stays in the cave.

If that's normal? In my experience, pleco's are shy during the day. Mine come out a lot more at night.
