I’m going to be buying and setting up a 10 gallon aquarium in about a month. I currently have three amano shrimp. My plan is to add the three amano shrimp to the ten gallon, and add two mystery snails. Can I add more shrimp? If so, what kind of shrimp and how many? Would it be better if I would upgrade to a 20 gallon instead of a 10? I would prefer a shrimp that won’t breed a lot, so I don’t have to keep upgrading the tank. lol!

I would look at adding Bamboo shrimp though they can get a bit large up to 3 inches. If you want some more color to your tank you can't go wrong with Red Cherries or primary color dwarf shrimps. If you can manage a larger tank i would go 20 gal, as shrimp are filter feeders and more water volume ensures they have lots of food. I love inverts and if you ever see them Asain Gold Clams are an interesting one to add to a peaceful tank set up. Hope the info helps
