Betta in a community tank?

Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could put a betta into a 20 gallon community tank with neons, Cory cats and platys? Any ideas? I have heard success story's and fail story's about this.

It can be done but it depends on the personality of the individual betta, no way to predict. I currently have three: one in my 16g community, one in a 5g nano, and the last in solitary because it simply can't tolerate living with other fish.

You could give it a try as long as you have a back up plan in case it doesn't work out.

Like Theresa said, it depends on the Betta. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.
