Hey guys, about a year ago, we got our daughter a male betta. We recently upgraded him to a 10gal aquarium, and I was wondering if we could put anything else in there with him, since he's been alone for so long. If so, what would some good options be?

TIA!

I too have done this. My male seems to be alright with a nice school of cardinal tetras. But all betas are different. Just go for a small schooling fish. My friend even put a few guppies with his Betta as company.

Green neon tetras are a good idea. Male guppies have fins that resemble a male betta's fins so this will cause fighting.

I will look into the green neons. Would Rummynose be compatible as well? I wanted to put a school in the 65, but my fiance said no, so I'm wondering if I can get away with putting them in our daughter's tank instead...
